BETAAscension 6 has been completely reworked into a card removal tax, alongside the introduction of a new run-tracking Badges system and major card reworks for Silent and Necrobinder.

Summary

New Systems & Ascension Rework

This beta update introduces Badges, a new end-of-run system that highlights unique achievements or mistakes during your adventure, such as defeating bosses without taking damage or forgetting to spend gold.

More significantly, Ascension 6 has been reworked from 'Less rest sites' to Inflation. This new modifier makes card removal at the Merchant start at 100 Gold and increases the price by 50 Gold per removal (up from 25). This change aims to make Ascension modifiers more visible and impactful compared to map generation tweaks.

Character & Enemy Reworks

The Silent receives a rework to Blade of Ink, which now generates 'Inky' enchanted Shivs that apply Weak. Necrobinder's Borrowed Time has been redesigned to provide a massive energy burst (4-6 energy) at the cost of increasing the energy price of all other cards played that turn.

On the enemy side, the Doormaker has been buffed with a more dangerous 'Grasp' turn that drains energy whenever the player plays a card, and the Skulking Colony is now more aggressive, attacking every turn.
