Summary
New Systems & General Changes
This beta update introduces Badges, a new system that highlights unique run achievements like flawless boss kills or speedruns. A significant structural change has been made to Ascension 6, replacing the map-altering 'Gloom' modifier with 'Inflation,' which focuses on increasing Merchant card removal costs to make the impact more tangible.
Character & Enemy Reworks
The Silent receives a rework to Blade of Ink, which now generates 'Inky' enchanted Shivs that apply Weak. Necrobinder's Borrowed Time has been redesigned to provide massive energy at the cost of increasing the energy price of other cards played that turn. Several enemies have been buffed, most notably the Doormaker, whose Grasp turn now punishes players for playing multiple cards.
UI & Controller Improvements
Extensive work has been done to improve the controller experience, specifically regarding navigation in the Timeline and top bar. Multiplayer stability has also been addressed with better Steam error handling and the removal of the ability to skip chests to prevent accidental clicks.
