EXPERIMENTALConquest v2 playtest introduces the "Rally the Troops" Commander ability and adds Morale penalties for vehicle destruction.

Key Changes

🎖️Commander(1)

  • newRally the Troops: Added "Rally the Troops" ability: costs 400 manpower with a 15-minute cooldown; prevents Morale loss from player redeployment or vehicle destruction for 2 minutes.

🚜Vehicles(3)

  • newVehicles: Destroyed vehicles now incur Morale penalties: 2 for Transport/Supply/Light vehicles, 5 for Recon/Half-tracks, 7 for Light tanks, 12 for Medium tanks/SPAs, and 17 for Heavy tanks.
  • changeVehicles: Vehicles destroyed within HQ sectors will not incur any Morale penalty to prevent HQ spawn camping exploits.
  • newHalf-track: Each HQ sector now spawns with a Half-track at the start of the match; these do not automatically respawn if destroyed.

🚩Game Modes(3)

  • changeConquest: The two side objectives in Conquest are now controlled by their respective teams at the start of the match.
  • changeConquest: Capturing a side objective now only secures the four grid squares surrounding it, rather than flipping entire rows of territory.
  • changeConquest: Players must now be within the strongpoint to contribute toward capturing an objective, similar to Offensive mode.

🎮Gameplay(1)

  • newSpawn Protection: Introduced a 6-second grace period after respawning where the team will not lose Morale if the player dies or redeploys.

Summary

This update iterates on the Conquest game mode for the Steam Experimental Branch. It introduces a new resource-management layer where vehicle losses now impact team Morale, alongside a new Commander ability to temporarily halt casualty-based Morale loss. Map layouts have been adjusted so teams start with side objectives pre-captured, and territory control has been tightened to prevent massive map flips to ensure more reliable garrison placement.
