All Changes
🚁Flight Peripherals(3)
- newHelicopters: Added multi-device input support for helicopters, allowing the use of multiple flight peripherals simultaneously.
- newTrackIR: Added TrackIR support for helicopters, enabling 6 degrees of freedom head tracking.
- changeHelicopters: The initial collective value is not reflected when a helicopter is first started; successive inputs are required.
⌨️Controls & UI(5)
- newUI: New 'Helicopter Axes' menu under Keyboard & Mouse controls allows for binding axes and tuning response curves.
- newUI: Joystick and other input device buttons can now be bound to actions in the Gamepad controls menu.
- newUI: Added 'Use TrackIR in Helicopter' toggle in the Game settings menu under Helicopters.
- changeHelicopters: Joystick buttons cannot currently be bound to load and unload supplies.
- changeUI: The 'reset defaults' button currently fails to reset axes response curves.
Summary
This experimental update for Squad (v10.6) introduces long-requested flight peripheral support via a dedicated testing branch. Pilots can now utilize multi-device HOTAS setups, tune helicopter axes response curves, and enable TrackIR for 6-degrees-of-freedom head tracking. As this is a highly experimental release, several known issues persist regarding collective initialization and supply loading bindings.
