Path of Exile 2 0.5.2 Patch Preview
Massive monster damage reductions across the board alongside a rework of Runes of Aldur rewards and new Endgame Atlas Passives.

- newOn the Wind: Added 'On the Wind' multichoice Keystone Atlas Passive: choose between Azmeri Spirits with 50% increased Movement Speed or spirits that no longer dematerialize when players are away.
- changePartial Translations: Redesigned 'Partial Translations' Atlas Master option: now grants 0-40% increased effect of Explicit Modifiers on Tablets (previously 20% chance for double effect).
- newMortuary Map: Mortuary Map (Unexpected Missions) now allows replacing a Limb at the end of the Boss Fight.
- fixArbiter of Divinity: Added indicators to guide players to the Ancient Mechanism after defeating the Arbiter of Divinity.
- buffQueen's Rituals: Queen's Rituals from 'Mysterious Rites' now have 10 additional Omens in the first set of Favours.
- newNecrotic Catalyst: Added Necrotic Catalyst and Refined Necrotic Catalyst to the Genesis Tree, enhancing Minion Modifiers on Rings and Amulets.
- newEndgame Map: Added a quick-action menu to the Endgame Map for controllers (Hold X/Square).
🌫️Delirium(4)
- nerfUnique Enemies: Halved the amount of Toughness Unique Enemies gain in the Fog.
- nerfDelirium Monsters: Halved the Increased Damage that Normal, Magic, and Rare Enemies gain in the Fog.
- changeDelirium Shards: Delirium Shards now spawn exactly when reaching the correct depth and have improved placement logic.
- changeDelirium Mirror Shards: Delirium Mirror Shards no longer persist after an encounter ends.
📜Runes of Aldur(10)
- buffRemnant Encounters: Significantly improved rewards from Remnant Encounters in Tier 14+ Maps; 3-slot inscriptions reduced or removed from Tier 10+.
- changeRunefather's Alloy: Runefather's Alloy and Runebinder's Alloy now found as 8-slot runic inscription rewards.
- changeBond Rune: Bond Rune now spawns fewer Rare monsters but increases their modifier count per wave.
- nerfPrismatic Rune: Prismatic Rune no longer provides Always Shocks to Monsters and has reduced monster resistances.
- buffPrismatic Rune: Prismatic Rune now provides 'All Damage contributes to Flammability and Ignite Magnitude' to Monsters.
- buffExpedition Logbook: Expedition Logbooks now guarantee at least one Grand Expedition per revealed section of the Ocean.
- buffRunemastered Ornate Ringmail: Runemastered Ornate Ringmail Armour increased to 725 (from 210), Energy Shield to 206 (from 60), and Ward to 130 (from 112).
- buffRunemastered Venerable Defender: Runemastered Venerable Defender Shield Energy Shield increased to 135 (from 56).
- newFarrow: Farrow can now be invited to the Hideout in Runes of Aldur Leagues.
- removeTranscendent Alloy: Transcendent Alloy can no longer be applied to Foci and Wands.
👹Monsters(9)
- changeSiora, Blade of the Mists: Siora, Blade of the Mists: Cyclone is now unblockable (red flash), Chaos Strike is now blockable, and overall damage/combos reduced.
- nerfDiamora, Song of Death: Diamora and Syvora boss fights now only feature a single petrification phase.
- nerfJamanra, the Abomination: Reduced Life of Jamanra, the Abomination by approximately 17%.
- nerfChaos Volatiles: Significantly reduced damage of Chaos Volatiles from Ritual Altars and Monster Modifiers.
- nerfBosses: Reduced damage for skills used by Veynar, Malgor, Serath, Tendril Sentinel, and Cecaelian Ravager.
- nerfRunic Monsters: Reduced damage for Runic Monsters: Krell Skullcrawler and Starlit Harvester.
- nerfAbyss Monsters: Reduced damage for Abyss Monsters: Blackblooded Elite, Lightless Vengewing, Lightless Moray, and Strider of the Pit.
- nerfDelirium Monsters: Reduced damage for Delirium Monsters: Scatter Storm, Fury, Pure Fury, Rage, and Malice.
- nerfIt That Hates: It That Hates: Significantly reduced Chaos Beam damage and removed ranged chaos projectiles in favor of a melee combo.
🌳Passive Tree & Skills(6)
- buffBear Spirit: Spirit Walker's Bear Spirit base presence radius increased from 4 metres to 8 metres.
- changeZarokh's Gift: Zarokh's Gift now grants a Sinister Jewel Socket instead of a standard Jewel Socket.
- changeIce Storm: Ice Storm Notable: Now grants 15% reduced Chill effect on self and 15% increased Chill magnitude on enemies; removed non-functional Chilled Ground immunity.
- changeLightning Storm: Lightning Storm Notable: Now grants 15% reduced Shock effect on self and 15% increased Shock magnitude on enemies; removed non-functional Shocked Ground immunity.
- buffBitter Dead: Bitter Dead base Critical Strike chance increased to 12%.
- buffRecovery Mechanics: Recovery-preventing effects (Vaal Pact, Indigon, etc.) no longer block core systems like checkpoints, healing wells, or leveling up.
🐛Bug Fixes(5)
- fixPinnacle Bosses: Fixed a bug where Pinnacle Boss unique drops were not allocated to the Map owner.
- fixConductive Runes: Fixed a bug where Conductive Runes dealt no damage with certain two-handed weapons.
- fixWarcaller's Bellow: Fixed a bug where Warbringer's Warcaller's Bellow could explode the same corpse infinitely.
- fixMercenary: Fixed an issue where the Mercenary would constantly complain about delirium fog disappearing.
- fixStability: Fixed three client crashes and four instance crashes.
Summary
Major Balance Overhaul
This update focuses heavily on game balance, significantly reducing the damage output of dozens of monsters, bosses, and environmental hazards. Bosses like Siora, Blade of the Mists and Jamanra have seen mechanical adjustments and health nerfs to improve the combat flow.
Endgame & Runes of Aldur
The Endgame experience is expanded with the new 'On the Wind' Keystone and the introduction of Necrotic Catalysts for minion-focused jewelry. The Runes of Aldur league mechanics received a major reward pass, specifically improving loot in Tier 14+ maps and adjusting how Runic Inscriptions appear.
Delirium & Systems
Delirium encounters are now less punishing, with enemy toughness and damage halved in the fog. Additionally, core recovery systems (like healing wells and level-ups) now function correctly even when using items or passives that normally restrict recovery, such as Vaal Pact.
