Summary

Following the Dragonfire update, this development update focuses on improving access to the Ancient Lands and outlining a massive overhaul for Albion's seasonal systems. Key live changes include permanent portal availability in safer zones and increased rewards for Open-World Dragons, while future plans highlight the return of 1v1 PvP and a unified progression system.

Ancient Lands Adjustments

To address player feedback regarding the frequency of visits to the Ancient Lands, Small Portals in Yellow Zones are now permanently active. To balance this increased access, rewards in these zones have been slightly reduced. Additionally, a new 'Item Freeze' mechanic has been implemented to lower the risk of exploration by protecting gear brought into the zone.

Future Seasonal Overhaul

Planned for early next year, Albion will move toward a unified seasonal framework. This overhaul aims to integrate disparate systems like the Adventurer’s Challenge and Faction Warfare into a cohesive progression path. Players can expect more flexible reward choices and unique seasonal identities inspired by previous events like the Keeper Uprising.
