  • changeConflagration: Reworked Conflagration: Now deals 2 damage to ALL enemies 4(5) times instead of scaling damage based on attacks played.
  • changeDrum of Battle: Reworked Drum of Battle: Now a Cost 1 Skill that draws 2 cards and grants 2(3) Energy when Exhausted.
  • changeParry: Reworked Parry: Now a Power that causes Sovereign Blade to gain 10(14) Block, allowing it to interact with Dexterity and Frail.
  • buffNightmare: Nightmare now removes Afflictions from the copies of cards added to your hand.
  • buffUntouchable: Untouchable upgraded Block gain increased from +2 to +3.
  • changeTyranny: Tyranny now triggers before Bombardment, allowing it to play Bombardment immediately if exhausted.
  • nerfReflect: Reflect Block decreased from 17(21) to 16(20).
  • buffNeow's Fury: Neow's Fury now allows players to choose which 2 cards to return from the Discard Pile instead of selecting randomly.
  • changeReaper Form: Reaper Form wording updated to clarify that Doom is applied by the power itself.

  • buffNeow's Booming Conch: Neow's Booming Conch now grants 1 Energy at the start of Elite combats in addition to extra card draw.
  • buffTezcatara's Nutritious Soup: Tezcatara's Nutritious Soup now grants +3 damage to all Strikes in addition to making them cost 0 and Eternal.
  • changeBrilliant Scarf: Brilliant Scarf description updated to specify it only counts cards played from hand.

⚔️Enemies(8)

  • changeAxebots: Axebots combat reworked to feature a single, more challenging Axebot.
  • nerfRuby Raider Assassin: Ruby Raider Assassin damage decreased from 11(12) to 10(11).
  • changeScrolls of Biting: Scrolls of Biting HP adjusted to be lower at low Ascension and higher at high Ascension (30-37 range).
  • changeOwl Magistrate: Owl Magistrate HP adjusted to be lower at low Ascension and higher at high Ascension (231-247 range).
  • changeSlimed Berserker: Slimed Berserker HP adjusted to be lower at low Ascension and higher at high Ascension (261-281 range).
  • nerfVantom: Vantom Dismember damage decreased from 27(30) to 26(30) at lower Ascensions.

  • nerfMultiplayer Scaling: Nerfed multiplayer scaling for enemy Artifact, Slippery, and Skittish powers.
  • fixStratagem: Stratagem is no longer banned from the colorless card pool following a bug fix.
  • buffTag Team: Tag Team Replay effect now triggers on 'deal damage to ALL enemies' attacks.

⚙️Gameplay Systems(3)

  • buffTerminal Modifier: Terminal run modifier can no longer reduce a player's health below 1 HP.
  • changeSlippery Bridge: Slippery Bridge event will no longer offer to remove the same card multiple times until all other cards have been offered.
  • newAscension Tutorial: Added Ascension first-time tutorial popup for single and multiplayer modes.

🎨Visual Updates(4)

  • changeCard Art: Added portrait art for Feral, Not Yet, Spite, Fight Through, Hailstorm, Synchronize, Iteration, Voltaic, Apparition, and Abrasive.
  • changeEnemy Art: Updated enemy art for Tunneler, Entomancer, and Mawler.
  • newVakuu: Added background art and VFX for Vakuu.
  • changeAnimations: Added animations for Skulking Colony and updated animations for Vantom, Ceremonial Beast, and Entomancer.

🖥️UI/UX(3)

  • newFeedback Tool: Feedback tool now displays an error message if submission fails (e.g., player is offline).
  • changeUI Animation: Player hand now animates out of the way during the enemy turn.
  • changeController Support: Improved controller navigation for Badges, player info icons, and the Fake Merchant shop.

🐛Bug Fixes(7)

  • fixGeneral: Fixed combat softlock occurring after returning to the main menu and resuming a run.
  • fixGeneral: Fixed crash when applying powers to dying creatures.
  • fixThe Boot: Fixed The Boot relic incorrectly amplifying Bad Luck curse damage while Intangible.
  • fixReave: Fixed Reave card always bottom-decking the Soul card it creates.
  • fixStability: Fixed various crashes related to upgrading cards, entering rooms, and Steam startup.
  • fixMultiplayer: Fixed multiplayer softlocks related to Driftwood relic and Knight Gang encounter.
  • fixTezcatara's Nutritious Soup: Fixed issue where players could roll Tezcatara's Nutritious Soup blessing with no Strikes in their deck.

Summary

Difficulty & Ascension Overhaul

This update begins a gradual process of rebalancing the Ascension system. The developers are lowering the baseline difficulty for newer players while increasing the challenge at higher tiers to ensure the game remains a monumental achievement for veterans. A new tutorial message has been added upon the first successful run to explain this system.

Card & Combat Reworks

Three major cards have been mechanically redesigned. The Ironclad's Conflagration and Drum of Battle have been overhauled to better fit the class's identity and synergy pools. The Regent's Parry now directly modifies the Sovereign Blade card, allowing it to scale with Dexterity and other powers. Additionally, the Axebots encounter has been simplified into a single, more powerful enemy.

Multiplayer & Quality of Life

A new Badge system has been introduced for multiplayer runs to track damage, debuffs, and high-card-count combos. The update also includes a massive pass on bug fixes, performance stability, and new portrait art for ten different cards.
