Summary
Simultaneous Multi-Platform Launch
Satisfactory v1.2 marks a major milestone with the first-ever simultaneous release across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X. This update ensures feature parity across all platforms, including all previous console-specific bug fixes now integrated into the PC version.
Weather & Environment
A brand-new weather system reintroduces rain with significant improvements. Rain now features visual wetness effects on buildings and the pioneer's suit, improved wind, and thunder. Crucially, rain is now occluded by buildables like foundations and walls. Players can customize their experience with new weather presets (Default, Dry, Clear, Extreme, etc.) and a dedicated fog density slider.
Vehicle & Logistics Overhaul
Vehicle path automation has been rebuilt from the ground up. Players can now place vehicle paths using the build gun, similar to how railways function. The update also introduces Fluid Trucks and Fluid Stations, providing a new method for long-distance liquid transport with an internal capacity of 3200 m3.
New Game Modes & Creative Tools
A new Game Modes menu (available at world creation) introduces Cost Multipliers for recipes and power, as well as World Randomization for resource node location and purity. The update also adds "Daisy Chaining," allowing buildings to connect directly to each other for power, and a "Real Pause Menu" that stops game logic in single-player sessions.
