- nerfKidnapper Fox: Kidnapper Fox can no longer spawn at the very beginning of the day.
- nerfKidnapper Fox: Weeds will no longer start growing nearby the ship, though they can still spread there.
- changeKidnapper Fox: Vain Shrouds are now rarer, but weeds will always grow if players 'savescum' by disconnecting while not in orbit.

- nerfForest Keeper: Added a hard distance limit beyond which Forest Keepers cannot see players.
- fixForest Keeper: Fixed an issue where Forest Keepers could 'charge up' vision on one player and immediately spot another.
- fixHygrodere: Fixed Hygrodere not properly morphing to the environment or changing size based on variables.
- fixHygrodere: Fixed Hygrodere camping the main entrance after following a player.
- fixCoilhead: Increased the distance at which Coilheads disable collision when stopping on a player to prevent pushing them through walls.
- fixTulip Snake: Fixed Tulip Snakes causing lag spikes for the host while walking in the interior.
- fixBaboon hawk: Baboon hawks will now properly drop scrap on the cruiser.
- newDiversity Meter: Added a diversity meter to some moons that limits the number of unique species that can spawn in a single day.

🛠️Gameplay Systems(8)
- newUtility Slot: Added a dedicated utility slot for most non-scrap, shop-purchased items (excluding shovels).
- newPlayer Collision: Running into fellow employees now shoves them aside; crouching or carrying heavy scrap makes you harder to move.
- buffPlayer: Increased the time it takes to drown by approximately one second.
- nerfNight Vision: Slightly lowered night vision range to make darkness more dangerous.
- fixItems: Players now properly drop items on the cruiser, mineshaft elevator, and other moving objects upon death.
- newSigurd Log: Added a new Sigurd log titled 'Work'.
- changeSigurd Log: Swapped the locations of Sigurd logs on many moons.
- changeFurniture: Starting a new file now uses a random seed for the initial quota's furniture sale.
🗺️Maps & Interiors(6)
- changeMarch: Completely reworked the exterior layout of the March moon.
- newFactory: Added three new rooms and halls to the Factory interior type.
- buffFactory: Scrap can now spawn at the end of normal hallways in the Factory interior.
- changeMineshaft: Mineshaft interior now features more cave pockets and limits generation distance from the entrance for a more interconnected feel.
- newFoliage: Added proper foliage to all forest moons and updated foliage for Vow and Adamance.
- changeFog: Updated moon fog visuals and added moon-specific foggy weather variations.
💻Technical & Performance(8)
- fixPerformance: Switched to a single-pass rendering shader for better performance and improved terrain/foliage.
- fixPerformance: Reduced frequent heavy memory allocations to minimize lag spikes across the game.
- fixPerformance: Optimized creature AI memory usage to share a common pool.
- fixPerformance: Implemented distance culling for interiors so only nearby rooms are rendered.
- fixPerformance: Indoor monitor cameras now display at a lower framerate to save performance.
- fixPerformance: Game now loads interiors asynchronously during ship landing to prevent lag spikes and keep voice chat active.
- fixPerformance: Optimized creature search algorithms to improve pathfinding speed on large maps like Titan.
- fixPerformance: Fixed creature jittering on very large maps caused by unnecessary destination setting.
👁️UI & Accessibility(7)
- newAccessibility: Added accessibility option to disable head-bobbing while running and jumping.
- newAccessibility: Added accessibility option to enable toggle-to-sprint.
- newSettings: Added a setting to decrease the game's pixel resolution for significant GPU performance gains.
- newSettings: Added a toggle for basic 'indirect' lighting for indoor lights.
- newUI: Added a mod loader detection indicator to the server list.
- fixUI: Fixed the paycheck UI not scrolling properly through all sold scrap.
- fixUI: Fixed company advertisements showing inverted sale percentages for clients.
Summary
The Blooming Update (Version 80) is a major systems-focused patch for Lethal Company. It introduces three new creatures native to forest moons—the Backwater Gunkfish, Feiopars, and Cadaver Bloom—while reintroducing the Kidnapper Fox with significant balance adjustments.
Gameplay & Inventory
A major meta shift arrives with the Utility Slot, a dedicated inventory space for purchased tools like flashlights and walkie-talkies (though shovels still require a standard slot). Players will also notice new physical interactions, such as the ability to shove fellow employees and improved animations for ship controls and entrance doors.
Map & Interior Overhauls
The exterior of March has been completely reworked, and forest moons like Vow and Adamance now feature proper foliage. The Mineshaft interior has been adjusted for better scrap flow with new cave pockets, while the Factory interior gains three new rooms and scrap spawns at the end of hallways.
Technical Improvements
Under the hood, the game has transitioned to a single-pass rendering shader for better performance. Significant work was put into reducing memory allocations to fix lag spikes, optimizing creature AI pathfinding on large maps like Titan, and implementing distance culling for interiors.
