Version 80 Beta introduces three new creatures, the Utility Slot for tools, and a complete rework of the March moon alongside the return of the Kidnapper Fox.

- newBackwater Gunkfish: Added the Backwater Gunkfish, native to forest moons.

- newUtility Slot: Added the Utility Slot for non-scrap, shop-purchased items (excluding Shovels).
- newPlayer Collision: Running into fellow employees now shoves them aside; crouching or carrying heavy scrap makes you harder to move.
- newDiversity Meter: Added a Diversity Meter to some moons that limits the number of unique species that can spawn in a day.
- buffDrowning: Increased the time it takes to drown by approximately one second.
- fixItems: Players now properly drop items on the Cruiser, mineshaft elevator, and other moving objects upon death.
- changeSpawning: Indoor creature spawn curves now round up and down for better accuracy; spawn levels adjusted down slightly to compensate.
