Summary
Gameplay & Balance Overhaul
This update introduces several systemic changes to naval and land warfare. Submarine detection has been completely reworked with a new formula ported from the open beta, and strike forces are now restricted from using the 'no engagement' setting. Warscore calculations have been adjusted, specifically halving the contribution from sunk ship IC to better align naval and land combat impact. Additionally, major powers including the UK, France, USA, Soviet Union, Italy, Japan, and Germany have received new Train MIOs, with several also receiving Helicopter MIOs.
AI Logic Improvements
The AI has received extensive updates to improve historical performance and competence. Italy is now more effective at defending North Africa and its home territory, while Germany will better manage MEFO bills and prioritize conscription laws before launching Operation Barbarossa. The UK AI has also been tuned to be more efficient with convoy escorts and the defense of Egypt.
Quality of Life & Bug Fixes
Players can now use 'Shift + Click' to instantly prepare raids and the international market now defaults to maximum equipment selection. Technical improvements include fixes for several Out-of-Sync (OOS) errors in multiplayer, a fix for the Soviet focus tree lockout involving Rykov and Bukharin, and corrections to the 1936/1939 Japanese naval Order of Battle.
