- newTSL Earth: Added True Start Location Earth map, a hand-crafted Huge scale map featuring historic starting capitals, Navigable Rivers (Nile/Amazon), and 7 randomized Natural Wonders.
- newShuffle Map: Added Shuffle (Voronoi) map type which generates two main areas based on different base map scripts (Continents, Fractal, Archipelago, or Shattered Seas).
- newTerra Incognita Map: Added Terra Incognita (Voronoi) map type, a Shuffle variant that guarantees one side is a Continents map for a reliable Antiquity Age.
- changeResource Placement: Improved Resource Placement across all map types for faster loading speeds and updated generation functionality.
- fixNiter: Niter Resources no longer incorrectly spawn in player Homelands during the Antiquity Age.
- fixRubber: Rubber now regularly spawns in the Modern Age as intended.
🤝Diplomacy(3)
- newAlliances: Added option to pay Influence to an Ally to stay out of their war while maintaining the Alliance; neutrality can be renewed every 10 turns (Standard speed).
- changeWMD: WMD strikes can no longer be launched without first starting a formal war.
- fixRelationship Panel: Relationship Panel now correctly displays which leader settled too close to an opposing Capital.

- newElizabeth I: Added Elizabeth I (Cultural/Economic) featuring the Royal Monopoly ability, providing unlimited Trade Route range and Great Works when founding settlements on new continents.
- newGeorge Washington: Added George Washington (Diplomatic/Expansionist) featuring the Constitutional Convention ability, granting Migrants during Celebrations and unique Policy bonuses.
- nerfElizabeth I: Land Combat Units receive decreased Combat Strength per Age.
- fixPachacuti: Pachacuti’s Mountain Food adjacency bonus no longer persists on buildings in a captured Settlement.
- fixLeader Challenges: Friedrich, Oblique, and Gilgamesh leader Challenges now correctly grant completion credit.
🏛️Civilizations(6)
- newBabylon: Added Babylon (Antiquity Age), featuring the City at the Center of the World ability which grants Growth Events for building Food/Culture structures or Wonders.
- newGauls: Added Gauls (Antiquity Age), featuring the Favor of Cernunnos ability which increases Production for isolated settlements and Gold for proximity to rivals.
- newEngland: Added England (Exploration Age), featuring the Magna Carta ability which increases Culture on Gold buildings and Gold on Culture buildings.
- nerfBabylon: Babylon starts with a reduced Settlement Limit.
- fixNormans: The Bayeux Tapestry Tradition now correctly grants +4 Culture to captured Settlements.
- fixRussia: The Obshchina no longer incorrectly gains extra yields when placed on a Tundra.
🖥️UI/UX(6)
- newRadial Ruler: Added Radial Ruler overlay to the Lenses Panel to measure 3-tile and 6-tile radii from the cursor.
- newTooltips: Plot Tooltips now display Island status, Appeal level, and Appeal value.
- newTooltips: Unit Tooltips now display base Combat Strength and Movement speed when hovering over Unit Flags.
- newSyncretism: Added Syncretism unlock information to game setup screens to show available civ pairings.
- newGraphics Options: Added PC-only option to disable specular reflection highlights on Deep Ocean tiles to improve video bitrate for creators.
- fixController Support: Addressed several controller cursor focus and functionality issues across Diplomacy, Religion, and Commerce menus.
🐞Bug Fixes(5)
- fixJanissary: Janissary Ottoman Unique Unit no longer incorrectly applies a Happiness penalty on Rural tiles.
- fixNaval Units: Mikasa and Revenge naval units now correctly receive a +1 Range increase at Tier 3.
- fixIndependent Powers: Independent Powers no longer spawn within player Settlement borders.
- fixHoo-Do: The Hoo-Do Wonder now correctly provides +1 Appeal to adjacent tiles.
- fixNuclear Weapons: Nuclear detonation SFX/VFX now correctly plays when launched from a Squadron Commander.
Summary
Update 1.5.0 celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Civilization franchise with the highly anticipated True Start Location (TSL) Earth map, built on a Huge scale with navigable rivers and randomized Natural Wonders. This update also introduces a significant shift in Alliance diplomacy, allowing players to pay Influence to remain neutral in an Ally's war. Additionally, the 'Hall of History' Content Collection launches, adding two leaders and three civilizations to the roster, alongside substantial UI improvements like the Radial Ruler and enhanced tooltips.
