Nuclear Escalation returns to the Vietnam era with significant air defense overhauls, including FlaRakPz 1 and Osa-AKM SAM systems and max-skill pilot crews.

The Nuclear Escalation event returns from September 2nd to September 7th, focusing on aircraft within the 8.7-11.0 Battle Rating range. This iteration introduces a hypothetical escalation of the Vietnam conflict, featuring iconic jets like the MiG-21 and F-105.
Air Defense & Vehicle Overhaul
Significant changes have been made to ground-based threats to better balance the 10.0-11.0 BR bracket. Stealthy Rapier systems have been replaced by FlaRakPz 1 units, which are more visible and detectable by Radar Warning Receivers (RWR). Airfield and tactical assembly area defenses have been bolstered with additional SAM systems to prevent spawn-camping and improve protection during takeoff.
Map & Crew Enhancements
To improve visibility for ground attacks, forest density and roadside vegetation height have been reduced. Additionally, all players piloting nuclear-capable aircraft will now benefit from maximum skill levels and Expert qualifications for their crews.
