Summary

Ground Location Reworks

The upcoming Heavy Cavalry update introduces a major visual overhaul for two classic ground battle locations: Ash River and 38th Parallel. These maps have seen their environments, buildings, and road networks completely redesigned to provide a more realistic and cinematic experience while maintaining the original gameplay flow. Additionally, a new winter version of the Ardennes map has been added to the rotation.

Arresting Gear Mechanics

A new gameplay system for pilots introduces arresting gear to land-based airfields. This system allows aircraft equipped with arresting hooks to catch cables on short runways, significantly reducing landing distances. The deployment of the arresting hook is now automated, triggering whenever the landing gear is lowered.
