Summary
System & Leveling Overhaul
Patch 16.4 focuses on shifting the meta away from staying at Level 8 to fish for 3-star 4-costs. By reducing the XP required to reach Level 9 from 76 to 68, the 'Fast 9' strategy becomes more viable. Additionally, Level 7 roll odds for 3-cost units have been increased to 43% to help those compositions find their footing.
Trait & Unit Balance
Piltover and the T-Hex have received a massive sweep of adjustments to ensure all modules are viable. Noxus carries like Draven and Darius received buffs to make the vertical trait more flexible. Meanwhile, Sona and Yunara were nerfed to reduce their reliability as forceable carries.
Augment & Item Changes
Several economy-focused Augments like ReinFOURcement and Three Threes have had their gold rewards slashed to prevent players from snowballing too quickly into high-tier units. Two new Augments, Gilded Steel and Trials of Twilight II, have been added to the pool.
Festival of Beasts Revival
The first balance pass for the revival mode is here, featuring significant nerfs to Shyvana's survivability and buffs to underperforming units like Vladimir and Kindred.
