Summary
The New Widget-Based Route Advisor
After over a decade, the Route Advisor has been rebuilt from the ground up. The previous single-panel design has been replaced by a modular system of individual widgets. This allows players to customize their HUD by enabling or disabling specific elements independently. Furthermore, players can now choose to display these widgets specifically in the interior view, exterior view, both, or neither, providing a much higher degree of immersion and flexibility.
Enhanced Driving Feedback & Indicators
The update introduces several new data points to the HUD that were previously hidden or difficult to access. Drivers can now see real-time Engine RPM, exact time remaining until rest is required, and the time remaining for delivery completion. A dedicated Indicators widget has also been added, providing clear visual feedback for active systems like cruise control, retarder levels, lane assist, and air brake pressure.
Reworked Damage and Notifications
Damage reporting has shifted from abstract percentages to a malfunction-based system. The UI now highlights when a system is damaged enough to affect truck behavior. Additionally, the notification system has been streamlined into a single-stream, color-coded area to prevent screen clutter. Non-essential driving information, such as detailed job specs and local regulations, has been moved to a new Quick Info menu to keep the primary HUD focused on the act of driving.
