Summary

New Heroes and Mechanics

The Runaway and The Duelist, originally from Darkest Dungeon II, have been backported to the original game. The Runaway introduces the unique Burn status effect, while The Duelist features a dynamic playstyle that involves dancing between ranks and switching between two combat stances to maintain Riposte.

Hamlet and Items

Three new Districts have been added to the Hamlet: the Academie Duello, Craftworks, and Archaeological Base Camp. These provide weekly Heirlooms, Trinkets, and damage boosts. Additionally, new Trinket mechanics have been introduced, including "charged" items with limited powerful effects and items that transform through use.

Future Updates

Red Hook is currently developing a new mod loader and additional modding improvements based on community feedback, with a followup release planned for late August.
