Apex Legends is introducing a hybrid Ranked system that alternates between Dropships and Drop Zones based on the lobby's rank distribution.

Summary

High-level Ranked lobbies with a specific threshold of Diamond+ players will now utilize the Drop Zone system, while other matches continue using the traditional Dropship. Players in Platinum or mixed-rank squads may experience a combination of both systems as developers calibrate the transition thresholds.
